Bella Italia's £5 Student Menu!

This is a quite random post, but I felt like writing something, and I thought this might do, so here we go!

I'm sure we've all heard of Bella Italia right? Well basically it's a restaurant selling Italian food (obviously) which tastes so nice! They have a student menu which is available from Sundays to Thursdays for just £5!!

You'd think that for a fiver, the portion would be at least a bit smaller right? But most likely quite noticeably small. No, it's a perfectly normal size, if not bigger and it tastes amazing!

The other week, I went with two friends after school (one friend goes to the same college as me, one doesn't) and I got a spaghetti bolognaise (which was incredible). Today, after college I went again with one of those two friends and we shared a pizza. We chose the make-your-own (or equivalent type thing) with the beef ragu topping. - You can have two toppings though! I'm sorry for being so un-creative with my adjectives, but it was amazing! It was a great size and for only £5! So £2.50 each!

Okay, now this isn't on the student menu, but I have to recommend this to you anyway. Basically, the first time we went, my friend and I were really tempted by the 'Cookie dough Lava Cake' but ended up not having it because we were so full! This time though, we did have it, and this is what it looks like...

Gorgeous right? Yes, it was absolutely delicious, so if you ever go to Bella Italia, you should try it!

Anyway back to the Student Menu. So, all you need to do it present a valid student card/ID of some sort and go within the days it's available, and try it out!

Let me know if you do! Do you have any recommendations from the menu? I know I'll be going back soon!
Talk to you soon,
Love as always,
Georgia

Trips to the Library?

Source
I feel like libraries are often over-looked these days, what with digital and audio books and just general alternatives to reading, but I personally am determined not to give in and keep on reading!

I always say that I'm a reader, but regularly find myself going months without having read a page of a book through my own choice. This, I confess, is usually due to the distractions of my phone, Youtube and social networks. I kind of hate it that I can no longer entertain myself without the needs of an electronic device or WiFi connection. So I'm trying to rectify this.

And one way I'm doing this (and succeeding so far, I might add) is by going to the local library.

Stereo-typically, this is boring, and yeah I know that. But actually give it a go before you discount it from your activities. Now that I have a part-time job and an hour break for lunch, I used to take a trip round the shops, but after a while I found myself actually knowing what was in all of the shops, so it made time take drag on for ages. So now what I do, is take a book in my bag and go along to the library. It's actually very calming as you can get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy shopping centre and have anything from a few minutes to a couple of hours getting lost in a book. It's a great way to fill some time whilst being productive and realising that you don't need technology to enjoy yourself.

I'm so grateful that I didn't give up on libraries and now I remember why reading is so therapeutic and I love it.
You should give going to your local library a try, or if you don't have one near you, just get out a book and read whenever you feel like it.
Go on, give it a try.

Love as always,
Georgia

My Current Favourite Songs!

I love music. I'm always listening to it and I learn words to songs really quickly - like, really quickly... My favourite songs are constantly changing, but I thought that I'd share with you some of my current faves, because yanno, why not?

Adele: "Hello"
How could I not mention this?! Honestly, damn, this girl can sing. The song is so powerful and heartfelt and whenever it comes on the radio or on my playlist, I begin to belt out my heart in time to the music. I can never write any words that could even start to justify how amazing Adele and her music is, but I'm really trying. I can't even describe how much I love this, just please: if you haven't heard this please go and listen to it, and even if you have, go and listen to it again.
Also, her new album, "25" is out on November the 20th, so guess what I'll be listening to...

Sam Smith: "Writing's on the Wall"

Talking about Adele, Sam Smith follows on from her previous Bond theme, "Skyfall" with this one and whoa is it amazing or what? His voice has such a nice tone and he's such a nice and talented person! When I heard that he was doing the Bond theme for "Spectre" I was so pleased because I knew he'd be incredible...and so he was.

Olly Murs: "Kiss Me"
Now, you're not mistaken, this is quite a different song to the other two that I've mentioned but I do love a bit of Olly Murs. This song is so catchy and I can't help but sing and dance along whenever this comes on the radio or on a playlist!
If you haven't heard this yet, then please go and listen because it'll put you in a great mood!

Rudimental (ft. Ed Sheeran): "Lay it all on Me"
I love Ed Sheeran. There is no denying that he's just an amazing guy with shed loads of talent. Rudimental have just gone and made me love him even more! I'll be honest, I didn't really know a lot about Rudimental's songs before this one, but I now know that I'm bound to love all theirs to come. The blend of this song with Ed Sheeran singing the lyrics is just one that I love so much, and again I can't stop singing.

One Direction: "Made in the A.M"
Not a song, I know. Sorry, I'm cheating a little bit, but this is an amazing album and I can't just pick one song to include!
I'm writing this on the 14th of November, a day after it was released and because I didn't have a chance to listen to it yesterday, guess what I've been doing today? I love this so much, like so much. It's quite different to their other albums but I personally think it's much better! Not that I didn't love their other albums (because I did) but their style has developed so much and I feel like their songs now have a lot more personal meaning to the guys now they're older.
I haven't listened to it enough to know all the songs that well yet but I personally love "I want to write you a song", "If I could fly", "History" and "Olivia" although all of the songs are just beautiful.
Even if you're not a One Direction fan, it doesn't mean you can't love this album. I feel like there are so many people who decide that if they don't like One Direction it means they can't like their songs. No. They genuinely are great musicians and please do listen to this album, because it is amazing.

Thank you so much for reading this post and I really hope you enjoyed it!
What are your favourite songs? Leave them in a comment and we can learn more about your music style and maybe get some song suggestions!

Hi Guys, hope you enjoyed! Just a quick question: Basically recently my Google + hasn't notified me of any new comments and neither have I been sent any emails. This has never been a problem before because I always used to get emails as soon as someone new commented, but now I don't and I'm really confused! It means I can't read them or reply quickly which makes me sad because I love reading your comments and chatting to you!
So I was wondering if this has happened to any of you at all? Do any of you know how to solve this?
Thanks for reading, I love you all

My November Goals!

Source

Firstly, I'd like to say that this post is inspired by my wonderful fellow blogger, Amanda. She's 16 like me and has an amazing blog with a lovely style of writing. I just love reading what she has to say! So I'd really recommend that you go and check out a couple of her posts and give her a little follow on Bloglovin.

So...My November goals!!

I thought (with a little inspo from Amanda) that I'd share with you some goals that I've set myself for November, and that I really need the motivation to achieve! Maybe if I share them on here, then I'll be more likely to stick to them? That's my thinking anyway...

Number One: Eat Healthily
Easier said than done, right? Okay, but seriously, I need to. Anything's possible when you put your mind to it - well that's the mindset that I need to stick to anyway. I'm going try to only eat sweets at the weekend, limit day-time snacking, and ensure I take a piece of fruit to college every day.
*Notice the emphasis on the word try*

Number Two: Get Organised
I'm shockingly bad at organisation. Well, I very rarely miss deadlines, I'm just crazily stressed trying to meet them. Quite often I'll think 2 days is loads of time, and then remember that I'm going out on one day and then working the other, so that means I have to rush things (usually having a little cry on the sidelines) and then get things done to a very low standard. This is quite ironic that I'm sitting here at 8:00 blogging, when I have Psychology homework due in tomorrow, but starting from now, I'm going to get organised and hopefully it'll reduce stress levels too!
*Please Note: It's now half past eight, and I'm back to blogging, after having done my psychology homework. Are you proud of me?!*

Number Three: Blog More
Yes, I've said this before, but blogging is a great way to be creative, and since I'm no longer taking any essay-based subjects it allows me to (hopefully) continue improving my writing skills. Also, another big reason is that I really enjoy it! I know I haven't posted very much recently but if I succeed at goal number two then I'll have a lot more time to blog! The only thing is that a lot of the time, I'm lacking new ideas, so if you have any ideas that you'd like to see, please do let me know!

Number Four: Exercise Regularly
Okay, okay, it's a bit cliche, buutt, when I say that, I don't mean go running 6 times a week, swim on weekends and do 100 press ups every evening. Nah nah, that's not what I mean. I just want to try and go running more often. I can't remember if I've mentioned it the parkrun before but it's great. It's a 5K run every Saturday in so many places around the country - you can go as slowly as you're comfortable with and know that there will be others cheering you on from the sides, so it's such a great thing to go to if you want to keep fit. And here's the best part: It's completely free, and there's bound to be one within easy distance of where you live! I want to do this at least once a month, because I haven't run for ages and I should really get back into it!

Number Five: Have More Me Time
This one is important. There are so many deadlines to keep to nowadays and the reality of having time to ourselves is becoming less and less of a possibility. I know I'm definitely guilty of stressing out too much and not leaving enough time for me to just relax. It's so lovely to just light a candle, get in my cosy pyjamas and listen to some music, have a bath, read a book or watch a film. Obviously it's important to keep on top of things you need to do, but improving organisation will help to free up more time to do whatever you want and you'll be much happier for it!

So those are my five goals for November, and I promise that I'm going to try my best to stick to them, and I'll get back to you in December about whether or not I managed to succeed!
Have any of you set yourselves any goals? I'd love to hear about them! But remember the last one: make enough time for yourself to live and love life.

Love as always,
Georgia

Remembrance Day

Source

Today was remembrance day. Quite an important day for me. Not because I've personally known anybody who's died or fought in a war, but because most people do know or have known a soldier or war veteran and I feel that it's very important to remember the dead and respect the living.

We had a 2 minutes silence at college today, just like we did at work on Sunday and at the football on Saturday. I always like to use those 2 minutes wisely and actually thank those brave soldiers who lost their lives in WWI, WWII or any other wars since or before, and also to thank those fighting now. Their sacrifices have shaped our lives today and we would not be living how we do now if it hadn't been for them. So, thank you.

The Royal British Legion is a charitable organisation which raises money to "provide thousands of modern veterans, Service men, women and their families with vital advice and support." So it really is a great charity, and doesn't just remember past war veterans, but helps current and future ones.

To the memory of the fallen, and the future of the living.
We will remember

Love as always,
Georgia
